Seven disciplines, one studio
Mural painting, historic conservation, gilding, lime plaster, trompe l'oeil, decorative ornament and faux finishing — each a distinct craft, all practised under one roof in Los Angeles.
01Mural Painting
Hand-painted murals designed for one wall, one light and one viewing distance — for private houses, churches, theatres, libraries and civic buildings across Los Angeles County.
02Historic Restoration & Art Conservation
Paint investigation, historic colour designation, consolidation and in-painting for churches, theatres, civic landmarks and period houses — evidence first, paint second.
03Gold Leaf & Gilding
Genuine gold, silver, palladium and composition leaf, laid by hand in water and oil gilding — on ceilings, mouldings, carved ornament, furniture, signage and sacred fittings.
04Venetian Plaster & Lime Finishes
Burnished lime plaster, marmorino and polished stucco — a material rather than a coating, laid in thin successive coats and polished to a depth that paint cannot imitate.
05Trompe l'Oeil
Painted architecture, false windows, niches, panelling and vistas — built to the light already in the room, so the eye accepts them before the mind catches up.
06Decorative Painting, Chinoiserie & Grisaille
Hand-painted ornament, hand-cut stencil borders, chinoiserie panels and tonal grisaille — the decorative vocabulary that gives a room structure without adding furniture.
07Faux Finishes, Faux Bois & Faux Marble
Marbling, wood graining, metal patination and custom wood treatments — painted by hand and matched to real material, sample in hand, on site.
Describe the problem, not the technique.
Most enquiries start with a room rather than a service — a ceiling that has been overpainted, a blank wall that needs something, a finish that has to match. Tell us what you are looking at and we will tell you what it needs.
